Are stereotypes necessarily bad? It seems that acquiescing to a stereotype is almost always considered to be politically incorrect and in bad taste these days. But this rant is not about martyring myself in defence of stereotyping, well not completely anyway. What I am getting at is, I am extremely annoyed with the stereotypical Anglo mindset. What I mean by Anglo is an extreme generalisation of all English derived, Western middle class mindframe, like how they look at me funny when I have tripe for lunch, the sphincter look on their face when I take off my shoes midday at work, and their media induced paranoia with anything Made in China. If they say Western civilisation is in decline, it will be completely dead when everybody subscribes to this unadventurous, inoffensive, unenlightened mindset. Set that chicken breast fillet aside, try chicken feet once awhile, it might change your life.

2046
Truly one of the more underrated albums of the naughts. To me their signature sound is one of the best definitions of the past decade. I would even go as far to say ‘The Coast Is Always Changing’ was somewhat of a subliminal turning point for myself. Even the sleeve design is very much of the moment during its release in 2005. A band that made enough noise in the ’00s, but did not oversaturate our ears for the prospect of future consumption of them Geordie goodness.
